Firmware = The operating system running the Iphone.
Jailbreak = The act of replacing the Iphone firmware with a modified one.
Sync = It’s when you automaticaly transfer new files (apps, songs, etc.) between a PC and the Iphone
App = Software made to run on the Iphone
Installer App = It’s a application that enables you to install aftermarket apps on the Iphone ( Cydia, Installer)
Repository = Also called a Repo is a folder on a website which is used to distribute Apps, themes and media through installer apps such as Cydia.
.Deb = is a compressed selfinstall file residing in the repository.  It is used to distribute content trough Cydia.  .deb is built in Debian.
Debian = Is a operating system based on Linux.
Terminal = It is basically a command prompt for Linux system used for running commands and programs.
Theme = It is a folder containing the graphics that replace the default Iphone graphics.
Springboard = It’s the Iphone graphical user interface.
Winterboard = App that replaces Springboard graphics and also manages the themes you download. It does this safely without deleting the original iphone springboard graphics.
Unlocking = It is modifying your Iphone baseband so you can use a different service provider than Apple wants you to use.
